The GENDER BENDING Gallery replaces a female figure with a male figure.

The MALE IMAGE ADDED Gallery simply adds a male figure to an original painting.

Parody takes up a thing but twists it just so, with a comic or mocking effect. But what is important to note about parody is that it is never just mocking of a thing, for it shares the very same space of that thing. Which is to say, the parody is intimately related to the parodied. Gay Art Parodies
Historically, artists have used female figures in some of their best work. This is an attempt to give equal attention to the figure of the male nude by creating a parody of paintings which originally featured female nudes, but also included are some well known paintings where the female figure is replaced by a male figure.
